I spent most of my working life in secondary education. Theaching creative subjects. Making jewelry has always been a hobby. As I stopped working the sleeping activity has made a revival. The things I make are mostly wearable. But not always. Sometimes a necklace derails to end as an object that you would hang on the wall rather than around one’s neck. My starting point is the material itself. Finding its possibilities. Transforming it into a piece of jewelry or object. The result should yield a surprise. Each piece is unique, I do not make a series of the same products. Mechanical equipment is hardly used.The necklaces made out of PET bottles, for instance, are hand sewed. This website gives an impression of the various jewelry and objects.
