About me
I spent most of my working life in secondary education, teaching creative subjects. Making jewellery has always been a hobby. Now that I have stopped working, this sleeping activity has made a revival.
The things I make are mostly wearable, but not always. Sometimes a necklace derails to end as an object that you would hang on the wall rather than around one’s neck. My starting point is the material itself: finding its possibilities and transforming it into a piece of jewellery or object. The result should yield a surprise.
Each piece is unique; I do not make a series of the same products. Mechanical equipment is hardly used. The necklaces made out of PET bottles, for instance, are hand sewn.
This website gives an impression of the various jewellery and objects.
